HAIRITAGE JOURNAL

The Hairitage Journal is way to keep record and documentation of one’s personal hair journey. From the process of creating Hairitage over these past few years, we have come to realize that each and everyone of us has a unique hair journey. This ties into the concept of Hairitage; about the role of hair in our lives, it’s significance on our identity, personality, perceptions, behaviors, and many more elements tied to our hair.

Hair plays a big part in all those aspects, whether we know it or not. The purpose of this journal is, but not limited to, to keep record of how we’ve felt, who we we became and the things we learnt in the process of our hair experiences over time. Because these are personal experiences that are barely shared with friends, family or anyone else, I want people to write them down so they can also better understand their own journeys and the impact it’s had on them, and if they so wish, one day share the Journal with their loved ones. This Journal could be what is passed down from generation to generation as written archives that could live you with forever.

The Hairitage Journal is a documentation of black stories
